Clearwater and its island beaches are fortunate to offer something for everybody. Our attractions include arts and museums, the natural environment, historic buildings, special events and more traditional "attractions" such as theme parks. The sampling of attractions below offers a little bit of everything.

Big Cat Rescue

Clearwater Marine Aquarium

A very unique natural attraction where one can view, touch and experience the biology and behavior of bottlenose dolphins, loggerhead sea turtles, Kemp's Ridley sea turtles, river otters, sting rays, local fish, coral reefs, mangroves and more.

The Dunedin Fine Art Center/David L. Mason Children’s Art Museum

Includes a unique children's art museum, 3 galleries and a gift shop featuring works of many Florida and local artists.

The Florida Aquarium

A world-class educational facility featuring more than 10,000 aquatic plants and animals which tell the tale of water, native land and marine animals in Florida, Swim With the Sharks and Swim with the Fishes (6 and older), touch tanks, and a children’s play area - Explore A Shore.

Florida Botanical Gardens

Specialty gardens featuring Florida plants including wildlife nesting habitat, restored wetlands and natural bridges.

Gulf Coast Museum of Art

Features contemporary Florida art with a special focus on contemporary craft media objects from the 12 Southeastern states.

Heritage Village

An open-air living history museum featuring over 25 turn-of-the-century structures, most of them from Clearwater.

John’s Pass Historic Village & Boardwalk

A uniquely historic village with restaurants, a variety of shops, all manner of water sports, deep sea fishing, three cruises (Dolphin Watch, Shell Island, and Egmont Key/Ft. DeSoto), festivals and more.

Moccasin Lake Nature Park

Nature preserve showcasing the plant and animals species native to the area and featuring rescued and rehabilitated birds, reptilian, insect and fish displays, plant and energy exhibits, and nature trails through a diversity of natural Florida habitats.

MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry)

Largest science center in the Southeastern U.S. with more than 450 hands-on activities and IMAX theater; new is Kids In Charge!, the nation’s biggest children’s science center designed by kids, for kids only, with over 180 activities to experience.

The Pier

Sunsets at Pier 60

A "street" festival located on the promenade portion of Clearwater Beach’s famous fishing pier, celebrating the setting of the sun and featuring artists, craftsmen and performers with weekend musical entertainment.
