- Federal Deficit—Support The Federal Government lowering the deficit.
- Support the Expanded Development of Centers of Excellence Programs in Florida High Schools – Support. The CRCC supports the development of Centers of Excellence Programs for high schools in the Pinellas County Region. Each Centers of Excellence Program has an advisory committee made up of local business leaders which oversee the development of the program within the school to best meet workforce needs.

- Workforce and Talent Development – Support. Due to the current economic situation and the increase in the overall unemployment rate throughout our region CRCC supports the following items:
• Increase funding for workforce development, training and continuing education programs to help the unemployed, career progression, and retention. Specifically focused on resources to help leverage technology and increased learning that can help the workforce with transferable skills and lifelong learning.
• Increase funding of programs administered by Pinellas County Schools and local Community Colleges that are focused on workforce development specifically PTEC programs and trade development programs.
• Support the business and training organizations, community based organization, private and for-profit training providers, community colleges and others to help increase the opportunity for technical and vocational training programs across our region. - Support and Facilitate Increased Tourism Throughout the State and County – Support. Tourism plays a critical roll in the sustainability of our county and state. Efforts must be made to support and increase the tourism industry. CRCC supports the following actions:
• Continued funding of Visit Florida to ensure our state’s continued competitiveness in the area of tourism-oriented marketing.
• Providing incentives to encourage the growth and development of organized sporting events and competitions at all levels, recognizing that such activities are important economic drivers. • The creation and funding of incentive programs designed to encourage professional sports franchises to locate and remain in Pinellas County.
• Expanded use of the bed tax for issues relating to tourism, marketing and the arts.
