Identification of Newcomers and Visitors

of prospects is available to subscribers weekly. It includes
visitors as well as persons interested in moving here on a
permanent basis. Essential information for those businesses
postured on the cutting edge.
Business Resource Center
– The Business Resource
Center is a one-stop center for business counseling, business
start-up information, demographic research and publications.
Both the enterprising entrepreneur and the seasoned business
veteran can take advantage of the customized free business
counseling to assist in new business start-up, business
planning, marketing planning, business finance planning, and
strategic planning. Free workshops are also offered along with
an Internet connected workstation with user-friendly software.
These services are part of the
Business Assistance Program
,
a Chamber partnership with the City of Clearwater and Pinellas
County designed to help existing businesses grow and succeed.
Business counseling is provided through the Service Corps of
Retired Executives (SCORE) and USF Small Business Development
Center (SBDC).
Financial Resource Center
– The Financial Resource
Center is designed to help business entities seeking financial
information and/or assistance. This one-stop information
resource for business loans and related financial services is
located at the Chamber office.
Educational Programs
– the Economic Forecasting
Summit programs provide ongoing business educational
opportunities. These events include speakers on topics of
interest to business leaders including Internet, e-commerce,
growing your business, sales & marketing, economic development,
real estate, financial planning, etc.
Finding Qualified Employees
– Every Chamber member
has the opportunity to list their firm’s current job openings on
NationJob, one of the top Internet-based employment databases in
the country. Job descriptions can be entered directly from your
desktop via the Chamber’s website. The service is free to
Chamber members.
Meeting Space
– Large meetings or just one-on-one,
your Chamber provides you the perfect place to meet with your
clients. Just reserve your time and enjoy the comfort of our
professional facility. Information on additional meeting space
in the area is available as well.
Award Recognition
– Each year the Chamber
recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of the “Small, Medium
and Large Businesses of the Year,” “The Tourism Person of the
Year,” “The Ambassador of the Year,” and Mr./Ms. Clearwater.
